It’s safe to say we have finally found the perfect fit for the rowing machine we were looking for. Not only it provides the customers with the best features they could ask for, but the main selling point of the rowing machine is also the price, which is below $200. 

The rowing machine is not built for people looking for advanced workouts and is ideally built for beginners. This is one of the Hydraulic Rowers which doesn’t have anything fancy but just what the workout freaks needed.

Sunny Health & Fitness is one of the known and popular brands in the industry when it comes to affordable Rowing Machines. 1205, in particular, is an exciting product and it definitely completes our expectations while looking for a rowing machine. It might have some flaws, but considering the price is way below the competitors (Less than half), we can say there’s not much you can expect. 

Let’s have a look at all the aspects one by one of the product and then decide if it’s for you or not.

Design

Being a Hydraulic machine, the Sunny Health & Fitness SF-RW1205 works on a piston system that provides the required resistance in a workout. Some machines use 2 pistons, while 1205 uses a single-piston, which helps in exercises. 

One of the significant factors that should be considered while buying a Rowing Machine should be the design. The SF-RW1205 is very small and can fit any room, big or small. The machine won’t occupy much of your room space while filling your workout needs perfectly. 

The product also comes with a built-in monitor, which is quite surprising at this price point. Don’t expect anything fancy as it is just a basic monitor that will help you track time, row count, total count, and calories. At this price point, you cannot expect more than what the device has to offer. While other products in this price range are priced way higher than this, this still does the job of being a cheaper fit. 

Resistance

This is the part you might be waiting for. Since the Hydraulic Machine uses a single-piston, the overall output might be better than the two-piston machines. Wondering why? If you aren’t too big, the workout device is perfect for you. 

The resistance offered by 1205 can be adjusted in 12 levels. You can do that through the knob provided below your seat in between the workouts. You don’t have to pause your workouts to make it harder and just change the levels in between. 

With the aggressive use of piston for long hours, some users did notice a drop in resistance after using it for some time, which is not ideal for this device. Others also appreciated that the device has been working for a long time for them. Some machines might have issues where the warranty part kicks in. The SF-RW1205 provides a 3-year warranty for the frame and 6 months for the other parts. Considering the price point is below $200, you get a lot more than you’d expect. 

Who is it for?

Since the build is compact for this device, bulky people are not advised to use it. The specifications say that this device can be used by people over 220lbs, but our advice would be to not use it by people over 200lbs. 

The length is quite big and unless you’re a tall giant over 6’4, you’ll be fine and use it easily. 

According to us, one of the important points I didn’t mention was the seat of the device, which is quite comfortable. Now other users have used it too and reviews consist of both good and bad ones.

Considering the price point, 1205 is probably the best rowing machine under $200. It offers the best features for that price point and there’s nothing more you could ask for. Even considering other user feedback on other platforms, the device perfectly lives up to the brand name.
